Second UNPC Charity Pickleball Tournament for Doctors Without Borders

On October 12th, the United Nations Pickleball Club hosted the second edition of its charity tournament. 30 participants followed the call to the Sportcenter Donaucity, where a Pickleball tournament in Americano mode was played for a good cause. The event was supported in its organization and implementation by the Pickleball Federation Austria. A total of 455 euros was raised for Doctors Without Borders.

There was a lot going on

The event was all about fun and community. The warm-up program was led by a Holmes Place coach. At lunchtime, participants were able to enjoy a buffet. Numerous supporters also provided goodies for participants. The winner was Abbas Nabizada, who beat Melina Lorenz and Sofia Futterknecht by collecting the most points overall.

Initiator Dolores Leppich: „On behalf of the United Nations Pickleball club, we would like to thank all of you who participated and contributed to this charity event! For your info, we have donated €455 to Ärzte ohne Grenzen. Lastly, a big shout out to the Pickleball Federation of Austria, to Peter Robic and his ExCom members for facilitating and contributing to this event! Your support has been invaluable!“
