This summer, the Pickleball Federation Austria will host the 2nd Austrian Pickleball Championships. On June 29 and 30, 2024, the Vienna Sporthotel in Erdberg will be the venue for the most important national tournament in the young sport of Pickleball. The event will be the largest Pickleball event in Austria to date. The winners in the categories of Women’s Doubles, Open Doubles (all genders), Mixed Doubles, Youth U14 Doubles, Youth U18 Doubles, Women’s Singles, and Open Singles (all genders) will be determined. The games may be entered on DUPR.
Hotel Offer for Guests from outside Vienna
Up to six Pickleball courts will be marked on the tennis hard courts of the facility. The most important matches will be broadcasted live by streaming experts from Streamster. A Players Party is also planned. For participants coming to Vienna for the event, there are special conditions at the Vienna Sporthotel: single rooms at €105 and double rooms at €145 per night, including breakfast and garage. The hotel offers numerous amenities such as a wellness area and a fully equipped fitness room. Additionally, the medal winners in all categories will receive material prizes from ProKennex. All active participants will also receive a starter gift from ProKennex.
Arlberg Wildcard for Women’s Winners
The Pickleball Federation Austria supports efforts to attract more women to Pickleball, such as the women’s training of Sportunion Rackathletes Austria (Wednesday 18-20 at the Vienna Sporthotel). The winners of the women’s doubles at the 2nd Austrian Pickleball Championships will receive a wildcard for the prestigious Arlberg Pickleball Championships, which will be held from December 13 to 15, 2024, in St. Anton am Arlberg.
